The Syracuse Utah Temple is expected to have an open house in Quarter One of 2025. The Syracuse Utah Temple was announced at General Conference on April 5, 2020, by President Russell M. Nelson. The Syracuse LDS Temple is currently under construction and will be finished in July 2025. Elder Kevin R. Duncan of the Seventy presided at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Syracuse Mormon Temple on June 12, 2021. The Syracuse Temple rendering was released on February 16, 2021. The Syracuse Temple is on 12.27 acres—with an exterior finish of granite and metal panels. The architecture features a single attached end spire & four Ordinance Rooms, four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and two baptistries.
