The Deseret Peak Utah Temple announcement came on April 7, 2019. The entire area was ecstatic to see the official exterior rendering of THe Deseret Peak Utah Temple on April 7, 2020. The groundbreaking was performed by Brook P. Hales, a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on May 15, 2021. In his site dedicatory prayer, he said, "Please bless all that will live in this temple district that they will feel the godly power of this edifice." Two hundred and thirty-two Church members and guests attended the temple site. The Temple was originally going to be called the Tooele Valley Temple. Later on, there was a change in the plans where the Deseret Temple would be and was located closer to the Deseret mountains, hence the name of the Temple being Deseret Peak Utah Temple on January 19, 2021. The Deseret Temple is being built on a 17.89-acre land with a chapel on the same lot, and the chapel size is 20,000 square feet. The architectural features of the Deseret Peak Temple have a single attached central copper tower. The Deseret Peak LDS Temple has four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and one baptistry. When the Deseret Temple groundbreaking took place, they dug the dirt out in the same area where the sealing rooms of the Deseret Peak Utah Temple would be. The stained glass windows will feature flowers native to the Tooele Valley on the beautiful Deseret Temple. The Deseret Peak Temple will have a total square foot of 70,000. The Deseret Peak Mormon Temple has an exterior clad stone with copper shingles. Historic tabernacles draw the details of the design of this temple in the area. My Official Website is TempleScoop.com
